Kitchener Centre MPP John Milloy presented 14 Diamond Jubilee medals to community members in the region who have made exceptional contributions to the province and country.

The presentation was made last week in the Rotunda at Kitchener City Hall. Recipients were Majdi Bou-Matar, Jim Breithaupt, Jamie Burton, Tracey Collins, Mitra Doherty, Joan Euler, Marg Hennig, Shu Hing Man, Theron Kramer, Donna Kuehl, Lorna van Mossel, Peter Ringrose, Myrta Rivera and Mayor Carl Zehr.

More than 200 individuals gathered to honour the medal recipients. This medal pays tribute to Queen Elizabeth II’s 60-year reign. Ontario is awarding over 2,000 outstanding Canadians with Diamond Jubilee Medals.
