Kitchener Post staff
The application process is now open for high school, college and university students looking for summer jobs with the City of Kitchener.
The city has more than 175 positions open in youth services, summer camps, inclusion services and sports instruction. There are both full- and part-time jobs available.
For the first time, the city opted not to print the annual booklet with job descriptions. Most students applying for the jobs have access to the Internet, and it’s also an effort to be more environmentally friendly.
Job applications are also done online, with cover letters and resumes to be submitted by e-mail. Application deadlines vary from Jan. 21 to May 6, depending on the position.
