On Thanksgiving Day, I planned to capture some fall colors on a walk along the Grand River. When I reached the Freeport Bridge, a beautiful bride in a white dress walked into the river.
The bride was Nina Clark, who was married three years ago and wanted to wear her wedding gown one more time, so she planned a Trash the Dress session.
Photographers Kate Hahn and Destiny Wiens and makeup artist Cara Powel were there to support this special outing, and they were kind enough to let me take a few pictures of my own.
The girls were able to stop two guys who were paddling down the river so that Nina could sit in one of the kayaks for more pictures.
The group had been to other locations earlier in the day, and Kate said, “Nina was laying on a gravel path, in a pile of leaves, amongst some logs, and other places.”
Maybe I missed out on something, but it was a pleasure to have met the girls before their Trash the Dress session was over.
