No charges will be laid after a 12-year-old boy was hit by a car.

According to police, a 49-year-old Chatsworth man was driving a pickup truck northbound on Queen’s Boulevard on Nov. 30.

The driver reached the intersection of Queen’s and Hahn Place when the 12-year-old stepped into his path, walking off the sidewalk in an attempt to cross the road, police say.

The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The road was closed for two hours.
