Drivers, pedestrians taken to hospital after crash

Two drivers and two pedestrians were taken to hospital after a Nov. 24 crash.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Charles and Eby streets, police say.

According to police, an SUV was crossing Charles when it was struck by a second SUV, this one crossing Eby. The first SUV was pushed onto the sidewalk, where it struck two pedestrians.

The pedestrians, an 83-year-old Kitchener man and his 77-year-old wife, were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The drivers, Kitchener men aged 46 and 65, were treated for minor injuries.

Both vehicles were destroyed in the collision, police say.
