Man robbed near Ottawa and River

An elderly Kitchener man was robbed by unknown suspects while out walking, police say.

The incident occurred Oct. 10 at approximately 5:30 a.m.

The man was walking in the area of Ottawa Street and River Road, according to police, when two men assaulted him and demanded cash.

Police say the victim received “moderate” injuries but did not require medical attention.

The first suspect is described as a white man, 6’0″ and 150 pounds with a slim build. He was reportedly wearing a white ball cap, white hoodie, dark pants and dark shoes.

The second suspect is described as a white man, 5’7″ and 135 pounds with a slim build. He was reportedly wearing a white ball cap, grey hoodie, dark pants and dark shoes.

Police say no weapons were seen during the altercation.
