Pedestrian hit while crossing road

A pedestrian was taken to hospital after being hit by a car while crossing a road Nov. 24.

Police say the pedestrian, a 62-year-old woman, was crossing Courtland Avenue at Queen Street when she was hit by the vehicle, which was attempting to turn at the intersection.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 46-year-old woman, was charged with unsafe turning.
