The Kitchener Dutchmen matched their 2011-12 regular season win total on Tuesday with a 6-3 victory over the Elmira Sugar Kings in GOJHL action at Kinsmen Arena.
Jordan Delaurier scored twice to pace a balanced Dutchies attack as five other players — Philip Moser, Ty Learn, Keli Grant, Steven Jakiela and Matt Papineau — chipped in with a pair of points each.
Learn, Jakiela, Grant and Keegan Calder all found the net as well.
Jack Moylan won his second straight game with a 33-save effort as the Dutchmen (10-10-2) climbed to fifth in the Midwestern Conference and within a point of third-place Waterloo.
Last season, the Dutchies finished in eighth place with a 10-33-8 record before losing in the first round of the playoffs.
Kitchener, which also secured a 4-3 shootout win over the Sarnia Legionnaires in cross-conference play last Sunday thanks to goals from Grant, Delaurier and Calder, are in Stratford on Friday and Brampton Nov. 18 before hosting the last-place Guelph Hurricanes on Nov. 20 at Kinsmen Arena at 7 p.m.
