The Kitchener Dutchmen snapped a three-game losing skid Sunday with their first win of 2013.
John Divo, Brett Clampitt and Jesse Young scored for the Dutchmen (18-14-4), who are tied with Waterloo, with identical records, for fifth in the Midwestern Conference.
Marc Williams made 24 saves for his first shutout of the season in front of 214 fans at Kinsmen Arena.
Erik Angeli turned aside 29 shots for Brampton (11-22-2).
The Dutchmen returned to action following the Christmas break last Friday as the host Listowel Cyclones (21-14-1) skated to a 6-4 victory.
Matt Papineau, Eric Hammerl, Keegan Calder and Matt Guild scored for Kitchener as Williams was peppered with 38 shots.
Listowel’s Caleb Cameron replied with a five-point effort (three goals and two assist), while Dylan Sayles, Patrick Bell and Colten Pickett also scored.
Drew Reinhardt made 34 saves for the win.
Meanwhile, the Dutchmen will be without forward Papineau and defenceman Clayton Greer Friday in Brampton after a fight-filled third period last week in Listowel.
Papineau will serve the final game of a two-game suspension. Greer will also miss Tuesday’s home game (7 p.m. at Kinsmen Arena) against Listowel and a Jan. 19 road date in Cambridge.
