It was a winning weekend away from home as the KW Rangers swept the competition in three straight games.
Starting last Friday night in Kingston, the Provincial Women’s Hockey League Rangers crushed the Kingston Wolves 6-1, with two goals from Mary Worndl and one each from Jade Gauthier, Loren Gabel, Emma Leger and Laura Baker.
Kingston hit the net once in the last period, robbing goalie Stephanie Sluys of a shutout.
The Rangers continued east and on Saturday bested the Nepean Junior Wildcats 4-2 with goals from Dollee Meigs, Hannah Davidson, Taylor Weber and Gauthier.
They ended their weekend with a squeaker over the Ottawa Senators.
They headed into overtime 2-2 on goals from Meigs and Gabel. Meigs double-dipped, coming back less than a minute later with a quick goal to end the game.
The PWHL Rangers are currently fifth in the league with a 6-3 record.
The team travels to Aurora Nov. 17, and take on the Mississauge Jr. Chiefs at the next home game at The Aud, Nov. 18 at 2 p.m.
