Mackenzie Frey finds an outside seam for a long touchdown Tuesday at St. David Catholic Secondary School in Waterloo. Frey and the Huron Heights Huskies advanced to the WCSSAA B-division senior boys football final with a 30-7 win over Elmira District.
For the second week in a row, the Huron Heights Huskies left a relegated A-division team in its dust after a frigid 30-7 victory over the Elmira District Lancers on Tuesday at St. David Catholic Secondary School.
Mackenzie Frey kicked things off with a long touchdown early in the first quarter as the Huskies (8-1 in the C-division regular season and playoffs) took a lead they would never relinquish the rest of the way.
Ifabiyi Adaran and Matt Cober contributed the rest of the offence for the Huskies, who will face the St. Benedict Saints at noon on Saturday at Jacob Hespeler Secondary School in Cambridge.
The junior boys championships are also Saturday at Jacob Hespeler with the host Hawks and Preston Panthers battling for the A-championship at 2 p.m.
The St. David Celtics and Bluevale Knights square off in the B-final at 10 a.m.
Admission to the games is free.
