KW Gymnastics athletes claim all-around titles

Wynne Allen, Denia Kasikovic and Emily Silbernagel won their respective all-around titles at the second women’s provincial qualifying meet of the season on Jan. 25 and 26 in Woodbridge.

Allen was tops in all four of her events (vault, bars, beam and floor, as well in the nine-year-old, Level-5 age group. Kasikovic finished first in 11-year-old, Level-5 category and Silbernagel was the top 11-year-old in Level 6.

Picking up top-six all-around results were Rhianne Robbins, Allison Herman, Hailey Groothuis, Tara Gjelsvik, Jenee Dkour and Heather Lobban.

Alyssa Churchill, Emily Kobal and Natalia Duran had top-10 finished in individual events.

At the men’s first provincial qualifying meet Jan. 24-26 in Etobicoke, Tyler Yee finished second overall amongst Level 5 eight- and nine-year-olds.

Evan Porter, Jack Ditzend, Gavin Klemetsch and Nathan Graff-Rowe had top-10 all-around performances. Nathaniel Gilroy, Parker Ball, Johnny Papazotos, Jack Carere and Graeme Judge had top-10 results in individual events as well.
