The Kitchener Post team of the week is the KW Predators under-17 girls purple volleyball team.

The Predators won bronze at Niagara College in Welland on Dec. 8 during the first under-17 girls Ontario Volleyball Association tournament of the season.

The team went into the event ranked fourth out of nine teams and will advance to the premier division for their next tournament in January.

The under-17 purple Predators include, back row from left, coach Scott Shantz, Tijana Golic, Sydney Greulich, Cory Sears, Larissa Magnus, Jess Monkhouse, front row from left, Rachel Maidment, Jace Hui, Maddie Shantz and Annie Byca. Absent are coach Kelvin Hui and Taylor Beedie.
