The PWHL Rangers are heading into the winter break in 13th spot in the 20-team league.
The Rangers have had a tough season, with a 7-9 win-loss record, two ties and two overtime losses.
But netminder Stephanie Slys notched a shutout with 25 saves in the Ranger’s 2-0 victory over the Oakville Hornets on Dec. 14.
Dollee Meigs led off the Rangers scoring with Lindsay Dales providing the assist. The Rangers also got a goal from Laura Irwin. Assists came via Amber Sealey, Mary Worndl, and Emma Leger.
It was a home loss for the Rangers against the London Devilettes Dec. 15. London got an early jump with the only goal in the first period, and the Rangers held them scoreless through the second, but fell further behind on a pair of power-play goals in the third.
The Rangers return to action in January with four games on the road: Jan. 5 against the Barrie Sharks, Jan. 6 against the Aurora Jr. Panthers, Jan. 8 at Burlington Jr. Barracudas and Jan. 12 at the Nepean Wildcats.
