Three new exhibits will anchor the 2013 season at the Waterloo Region Museum.
“We’re very excited at the calibre of exhibits that we’re hosting in 2013,” said Tom Reitz, manager and curator of the Waterloo Region Museum, located on Homer Watson Boulevard.
The first exhibit in the new year, Circus! Science under the Big Top, runs from Feb. 9 to May 5, 2013. The exhibit features more than 20 interactive exhibits that show how science is at the heart of the circus.
The next exhibit looks at what it means to be a refugee. Torn From Home: My Life as a Refugee runs from late May through Sept. 2, 2013.
The final exhibit, Exploring Trees Inside and Out, runs from Oct. 1, 2013 through Jan. 5, 2014. The exhibit will help visitors discover nature through multiple perspectives and inspire people to get outdoors.
Visitors to these exhibits may also visit the main gallery, Waterloo Region Hall of Fame and Doon Heritage Crossroads (from May to December) for one general admission price.
