Pat the Dog at the Walper

Now in its third season, Piece/Meal, by Pat the Dog Playwright Centre, will be presenting a play at the Walper Hotel once a month until May.

Pat the Dog, founded in 2006, is a non-profit organization that supports playwrights at all stages of their career, allowing them to get their work in front of the public eye.

Piece/Meal offers a piece of theatre served with a light meal, inspired by the evening’s play.

Plays are presented once a month at the Walper Hotel. Entry is on a pay-what-you-can basis, but the suggested donation is $15. There is a “pay it forward” option for those who wish to cover the recommended donation for a stranger who can’t afford it.

Last year, Piece/Meal featured Jessica Anderson’s The Gods and Calvin Brewer, which went on to win the 2012 ROB Tarragon Emerging Playwrights’ Award.

Doors open and food is served at 6:30 p.m. Plays start at 7 p.m.
