It's with heavy hearts that the family of Robert (Bob) Moir announce his passing at the Ottawa General Hospital on Friday, June 1.
Moir was the beloved grandfather of Brooke and Brittany Henderson. He was their mother Darlene's dad.
Moir died after a brief hard-fought battle with cancer. He was 81.
He was the husband of Marlene (Burchill) and father of Kenneth (who predeceased hi in 2009), and Darlene (David) Henderson.
In his obituary, it states that Bob was proud and truly blessed of his granddaughters, Brooke and Brittany, "who brought so much joy to his life."
Bob is survived by his sister Elinor (Jim) Commodore. He was the brother-in-law of Harvena Underhill and Sharon and Ron Hughes, and will be remembered by Jenn Banks.

The girls stated: "The bond that we shared with our Gramps was truly special. Between the golf courses, hockey rinks, our love of nature, just hanging out at home or our texts from afar, we shared so many great laughs, smiles and memories that will be deep in our hearts forever. We will miss him very much as he will also be missed by so many friends and family. Peace and happiness is found knowing he is welcomed Home by Our Father through the gates of heaven where Uncle Kenny will greet him with a big hug. You are forever loved."
